In a recent Twitter post, Bethesda has announced the delay of Redfall and Starfield. The two titles are now expected to release in the first half of 2023. In their post, Bethesda stated that the two teams, Arkan Austin (Redfall) and Bethesda Game Studios (Starfield), have delayed the release of these titles to ensure they can meet their high expectations.
This means that they wish to postpone the release to improve on the game to make sure that there are fewer issues and bugs upon release.
Starfield is the first new universe in 25 years from Bethesda Game Studios. It is a next-generation RPG set amongst the stars. You can create any character you want and explore with freedom. Starfield takes you on an adventure through the stars as you hope to answer humanity’s greatest mystery. The official teaser trailer was released on June 13, 2021.
Arkane Studios commented further on this delay by stating that they need more time to give Redfall life. As this is one of their biggest games, they hope that they can launch something genuinely extraordinary by taking more time to develop the game further.
Redfall is an open-world co-op shooter game that will launch only on Xbox Series X|S and PC. Redfall is set in the town of Redfall, Massachusetts. Unfortunately, this town is being attacked by a group of vampires who have blocked out the sun and cut the island off from the outside world.
Trapped with a handful of survivors, you must choose your hero from diverse characters and group together to create the perfect team of vampire slayers. The official announcement trailer was released on June 13, 2021.
